Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data this website and practice collect, why and what your rights are. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG).

What data is collected

Contact form and email inquiries: name, email address, phone number if you provide it and the content of your message. Technical data: server logs with IP address, browser type, date and time of access. Cookies: this website uses technically necessary cookies for its operation. No advertising or analytics cookies are set.

Mandates

When you engage this practice, the data needed for the mandate is processed to perform the contract. Depending on the case, this includes identity and contact details, identity documents, civil status records, permit and tax data, financial documents and contracts.

Why it is collected

The data is used to answer your inquiry, to provide the services you request and to meet legal obligations. Inquiry data is used for nothing else. There is no newsletter and no advertising.

Hosting

This website runs on the Odoo platform. Technical data is processed by the hosting provider on servers in Switzerland or the European Union. The EU provides a level of data protection recognized as adequate by Swiss law. Emails are handled by the provider Hoststar on servers in Germany.

Contact form

Messages sent through the contact form are received by Forminit, a service of UXPLUS LTD, London, United Kingdom, and forwarded by email. Forminit stores the submissions on servers in Ireland in the European Union. The United Kingdom also provides a level of data protection recognized as adequate by Swiss law. Along with the details you enter, the language version and the address of the page are transmitted. Forminit also records technical data such as the browser used and the approximate location derived from the IP address.

Booking a call

Calls can be booked online through meetergo, a service of meetergo GmbH, Monheim am Rhein, Germany. meetergo stores the booking data on servers in Germany. A booking requires your name and email address. To provide the service, meetergo also briefly processes technical data such as the IP address, the referring page and the time of access, and deletes it automatically afterwards. The call itself runs on meetergo’s own video service and is not recorded. Booking data is deleted automatically twelve months after the appointment.

Spam protection

The contact form contains a hidden field that people do not see and automated programs tend to fill in. Submissions with this field filled in are sorted out as spam. Forminit also filters spam automatically. No other service is involved.

IT and AI-based tools

Selected IT and AI-based tools are used for drafting and analysis. Their providers may process data outside Switzerland, in particular in the United States. Such transfers are secured by standard contractual clauses or by the provider’s certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Identity documents and civil status records are not entered into AI-based tools. Other documents are entered only after names and other identifying details have been removed. Clients can object to the use of AI-based tools at any time by writing to the email address above.

Who receives your data

Your data is shared only when your case requires it. Where a mandate involves a specialist, for example an admitted lawyer or a tax specialist, the data needed for that step is shared with them as part of the mandate. Data is disclosed to authorities only where the mandate or the law requires it. Where a case involves another country, data may also go to your tax advisors or to the tax authorities there, as far as the mandate requires. Data may also be disclosed to the professional liability insurer and legal advisors to the extent needed to protect the practice’s rights.

How long data is kept

Inquiry data is kept as long as needed to handle the inquiry. Copies of documents from a mandate are kept for ten years after the mandate ends.

Your rights

You can request access to your data, its correction or its deletion where no retention duty applies. Write to the email address above. You can also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

This policy is updated when the website or the services change. Version: October 2026.
